Nathalie Lewi-Dumont is Emeritus Assistant Professor at INSEI (National higher Education institute for inclusive Education, Grhapes Lab, France). Her field is special education and teacher education. Her main research topics are visual impairment, language, education and learning among students with visual impairments (blind and partially sighted). Her publications focus on access to braille literacy, culture and more generally full inclusion of students in school and society. In those matters, the role of parents, teachers and all professionals fundamental. Member of the board of ICEVI-Europe, she represents French-speaking countries and leads the teachers and teachers’ trainers professional interest group.
